Here is our newest motherhood challenge. Jax wants to feed himself. Getting him to take babyfood on a spoon is just a waste of time (for now). So, until I get a chance to go to the grocery store, I've been scavinging the pantry for foods we can cut up and feed to Jax. So, we ended up with chicken, tomato (peeled and seeded), mandarin oranges, and carrots (steamed). Lots of work for mom - but atleast he eats.
However, he tends to stuff his mouth to the brim and then just hoard the food for later.

he has the best look in that pic of him with the orange toy - like kind of a smirk! so cute!
ReplyDeletep.s. perhaps we should play at your house every pm - dash fell asleep right away (no struggle til 9) and i'm crossing my fingers that he stays that way!
Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd good first-finger food suggestions -- cut up string cheese, scrambled eggs, pancakes, drained fruit cups, grilled cheese sandwiches, cooked beans, and although it's messy nearly any casserole is good because the stuff is already chopped up pretty little...
don't cha just love finger foods! Always something new, exciting and so much fun! I think Rach covered the basics pretty good. course, she's had lots of practice:)
